PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
January 1996 to Present: Peck Consultants
Peck Consultants are the Project Manager and client's representative for
the redevelopment of the old BNZ buildings in central Wellington. This
$M25 development involves the redevelopment of four heritage buildings,
vacant for fourteen years, into a vibrant retail/commercial facility.
Administration of the consultants and contractors in relation to the delivery
of this project. Tenancy Co-ordination for the retail tenants entering
the centre. Co-ordination of the fitout works in relation to the commercial
spaces. Construction Manager for the removal of concrete stairs to level
22, 23 and 24 of the BNZ tower. Construction Manager for the $260,000
fitout of the BNZ Centre Link retail area.
July 1992 to December 1996: Carson Mills Project
Management Ltd
Contract Manager on the $M280 Museum of New Zealand project. Responsible
for maintaining the client's brief to ensure that all parties conform
to the brief requirements.
Contract Manager for the four demolition contracts including the shifting
of the Museum Hotel, the $M3 Dynamic Consolidation contract in preparation
of the site, major stormwater relocation and the $M3 supply contract of
base isolator bearings. Contract Manager for the $M60 Base Building contract.
Responsible for all communication between the client, consultants and
contractor including financial and time monitoring and issuing of instructions,
variations, progress payments and claims.
Project Manager for the $M20 redevelopment of the old BNZ buildings, Wellington.
Co-ordination of consultants, developer and City Council. Acted as Developer's
Representative in negotiations with Historic Places, WCC and tenderers.
Co-ordinated the application for Resource and Building Consents.
April 1990 to July 1992: Mainzeal Property and Construction
Construction Engineer. Responsible for engineering evaluations of tender
documents to assess and investigate alternative designs, construction
sequences, programme, buildability, cranage, major plant, staffing, formwork,
falsework, commercial options and liaise with subcontractors to co-ordinate
methods. Construction Supervision on special task engineering to sites.
Projects include the following: Majestic Towers, Wellington Town Hall
Refurbishment, Haywards DC Converter Station, Kiwi Powder 3, St Patrick's
College Refurbishment, Parliament Building Refurbishment Tender.
January 1989 to April 1990: Flynn Construction
Site Engineer/Project Co-Ordinator on $M12 refurbishment and re-strengthening
of the main administration block for Wellington East Girls College and
the $M3 Korea House design build contract in central Wellington.
